Our baked goods infuse the flavors of the season -- cinnamon, peppermint and nutmeg -- into moist cakes and cookies. Plus, each treat has been artfully decorated to resemble traditional holiday images such as reindeer, snowmen and even Christmas trees.

One of the most popular seasonal delights, and easy to bake, is Chef’s Ginger Snap cookie. And now, our top chef is sharing SeaWorld’s recipe with you! It’s the perfect thing to accompany that tall glass of milk you leave out for Santa every Christmas Eve.

Chef Colon’s Ginger Snap Cookies

Ingredients:
6 cups flour
3 cups brown sugar
1 cup all purpose shortening
teaspoon salt
2 each tbsp molasses
1 egg
teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:
1. Soften shortening
2. Blend together sugar and shortening until creamy
3. Mix-in egg and molasses
4. Slowly add dry ingredients
5. Bake at 340 degrees 8-9 minutes or until brown
