Planning Your SeaWorld Vacation, No Rental Car Needed!

by Staff

Right now many people are booking their Orlando vacations for spring and summer. During the planning process, the questions will arise: Do I need a car? Do I bring my own car? Rent a vehicle? Not use one at all? Don’t stress, with a little planning you can do it all and save money on gas, rental and parking fees, plus eliminate the stress of driving during your relaxing vacation.

After flying into the Orlando International Airport, an easy way to get to the SeaWorld area is by taxi. Mears is one example of the transportation companies available, and they have plenty of cabs to go around. While planning your budget, know that you’ll probably spend $30 - $40 + tolls for a one-way trip to the resorts in the SeaWorld area.

Aquatica Shuttle Stop

Next, you’ll want to book a hotel that offers complimentary transportation. You may want to look at SeaWorld’s Official Hotels, because starting March 1st they'll offer lots of free benefits including transportation to SeaWorld and Aquatica. These shuttles run continuously starting an hour before the park opens until an hour after the park closes, so you can hop on and off whenever it’s convenient for you! Transportation to Discovery Cove is also available on request – just ask the concierge for details.

There are free and low-cost transportation options to other attractions when staying one of SeaWorld’s Official Hotels, so you’re never cut off from everything there is to do in Orlando. Transportation to Universal Orlando is also free, offering one trip there in the morning and one return in the afternoon. The I-Ride Trolley is a unique and inexpensive way to see the International Drive area, home to world-class restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. All-day ride passes are only $4 and can be purchased at the concierge desk at any of SeaWorld’s Official Hotels. Even transportation to Busch Gardens is available with a shuttle that leaves daily from SeaWorld, and it’s free for any guest with a Busch Gardens combo ticket.

Most of the mentioned free transportation begins March 1st 2011. For more information on free SeaWorld parks transportation, reserve a spot on the shuttle to Universal Orlando, or purchase your I-Ride Trolley passes see the concierge desk in any of SeaWorld’s Official Hotels.
