SeaWorld releases pelicans back to wild

SeaWorld on Friday returned seven brown pelicans to the wild after treating each of the storm-damaged birds in recent days.

Hundreds of birds on the West Coast have been in rescue and rehabilitation facilities since late-January storms battered the shoreline, drove food fish to deeper waters and created plumes of tainted storm water runoff.

The second weekend of SeaWorld Orland's Bands, Brew & BBQ festival showcases country-music duo Montgomery Gentry. Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry, friends as kids back in Kentucky, were invited to join Nashville's Grand Ole Opry last year.

Stranded dolphin going to SeaWorld

- A visit to SeaWorld in San Antonio could soon include seeing Donley the dolphin.

The Atlantic bottlenose dolphin was about 9 months old when it stranded on Mustang Island Nov. 3.

Members of the Zac Brown Band pose with Mattie the bald eagle (and handler) from SeaWorld Saturday. The group, which last weekend scored the Grammy for best new artist, was a last-minute sub for singer LeAnn Rimes, who was too sick to perform during the theme park's Bands, Brew & BBQ festivies.
