My SeaWorld Story: Mike

SeaWorld has inspired millions of guests since it opened in 1964. We all have a SeaWorld story; from the first time we connected with a dolphin or a whale, to the moment we made an effort to recycle to protect our ocean friends beyond the park's borders.

In the fifth episode of our new webisode series, we meet Mike, a senior trainer at Sea Lion & Otter Stadium at SeaWorld San Diego. One of Mike’s most memorable moments at SeaWorld was spending time with his family here at the park when he was a kid, learning about marine life, and being selected to be a part of the Shamu show. As a child, he knew that he wanted to work with animals. Over the years, the animals that he’s worked with here at SeaWorld – be it the killer whales, sea lions, dolphins and pilot whales – have become a big part of his wife and son’s lives as well. That’s what SeaWorld means to Mike: Family.

This is his SeaWorld story.
