My SeaWorld Story: Mike

SeaWorld has inspired millions of guests since it opened in 1964. We all have a SeaWorld story; from the first time we connected with a dolphin or a whale, to the moment we made an effort to recycle to protect our ocean friends beyond the park's borders.

In the fourth episode of our new webisode series, we meet Mike, the assistant curator of fishes at SeaWorld San Diego. He remembers how his visit to SeaWorld as a young boy and seeing whales and sharks up close sparked his inspiration to become a marine biologist. For 20 years now, he has shared his passion for marine life with millions of park visitors here at SeaWorld, especially young guests. Mike believes that as the future generation of ocean stewards, it is necessary for them to recognize how important it is to protect and care for the world.

This is his SeaWorld story.
