Miss California knows how important it is to visit a California landmark – SeaWorld San Diego! Leah Cecil, winner of the Miss California 2012 pageant, came by for a visit on Friday, Sept. 21 for some fun in the sun in the park. She stopped by our most-raved about attraction, Manta, where she touched California bat rays in the exhibit’s interactive touch pool, then rode on the double-launch roller coaster. Her verdict on the ride? “That was amazing!” She then made her way to Blue Horizons Stadium, home to bottlenose dolphins and short-finned pilot whales. Leah reminisced and talked about the last time she was at SeaWorld. “I went here when I was five, and then my mom took me here on my 12thbirthday to swim with the dolphins,” she shared.
After participating in a training session with the dolphins and helping to feed Bubbles the pilot whale, Leah zipped her way to Antarctica – by way of SeaWorld’s Penguin Encounter, of course! She met emperor, king and Magellanic penguins up-close. “This has raised the bar!” she exclaimed. Thanks for stopping by and visiting SeaWorld San Diego again, Miss California! We wish you all the best in the Miss America 2013 pageant!
