Foodie Friday "Makahiki Luau Hawaiian Chicken"

After more than 30 years we are saying "aloha' to the Makahiki Luau on September 30. In celebration, we will be sharing recipes from the luau throughout the month of September. So grab your lei, turn on some Don Ho and enjoy some delectable island fare.


  • 3 oz chicken breast
  • 1 fl oz pineapple orange sweet & sour sauce


  • Fill sheet tray with chicken breast
  • Bake chicken in oven at 350 degrees F until it reaches internal temp of 165 F
  • Drain chicken and place on pan
  • Pour 1 fl oz bag of pineapple-orange sweet and sour sauce in pan with chicken, stir and serve

Serve with steamed, long grain rice under the Hawaiian chicken; rice will soak up the juices from the chicken and sauce, which will make it very flavorful.
