Coming Soon: SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular 2011

That time of year is upon us, once again. With nicer weather and pumpkin patches making their debut in coming weeks, fall is officially on its way – and so is one of SeaWorld’s most popular events, Halloween Spooktacular. As the season’s ultimate family-friendly experience, kids can trick-or-treat in a sea-themed atmosphere, catch silly and spooky shows, and encounter whimsical sea creatures. Keep reading for the latest “Spook-tastic” event highlights:

SeaWorld Orlando:

SeaWorld Orlando features Penelope’s Party Zone, an underwater area at Bayside Stage that features a DJ spinning Halloween-themed music, games, interactive arts and crafts station where guests can create their own sea-themed souvenirs, a hands-on apple decorating station and more. As in years past, there are silly and spooky shows featured throughout the day, and children can use their maps to discover more than a dozen stations to trick-or-treat sweets from. Colorful schools of pumpkin fish, among 30 other fanciful sea creatures, will be gliding throughout the park to provide strolling entertainment and plenty of great photo opportunities!

SeaWorld San Diego:

SeaWorld San Diego will launch a number of all-new, exciting components this year, including an island-themed outdoor adventure, a fun and festive pumpkin patch featuring Penelope Pumpkin fish, and an all-new Clyde & Seamore show specially-themed for Halloween. The fun doesn’t stop there: Animal Connections will feature spooky and not-so-spooky creatures, and costumed characters of Sesame Street and SeaWorld will be on hand to engage visitors in the Halloween spirit. Just by strolling the park children have the opportunity to trick-or-treat among fun-loving sea characters at 11 locations.

These fun-filled experiences in Orlando and San Diego are included with regular park admission. Both locations will be carving this Halloween underwater “fantasea” every weekend in October: 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, 28-30.
