Happy Milestone for "SeaWorld's Happy Tails"

Earlier this year we launched “SeaWorld’s Happy Tails” to encourage adoptions of homeless dogs and cats from local animal shelters. The program thanks pet lovers in our hometown markets with two free single-day admissions to SeaWorld when they adopt a dog or cat from participating shelters.

SeaWorld Cares Participates in Fifth Annual Paws for Peace Walk

Tails were wagging around Central Florida after the fifth annual Paws for Peace walk at Blue Jacket State Park this past weekend. The Harbor House of Central Florida held the walk to raise awareness about the impact of domestic abuse on owners and their pets.

SeaWorld Orlando Supports Pet Adoption Through Happy Tails Program

October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, and the way that we show our support all year long at SeaWorld is through a program called Happy Tails. This program encourages the adoption of cats and dogs from local shelters. Those who adopt from a participating shelter will receive two complimentary single-day admissions to a SeaWorld or Busch Gardens park!

This morning, Aquatica, SeaWorld’s WaterparkTM in Orlando proudly hosted the fourth annual World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™. More than 140 guests joined us to set a world record and help save lives by spreading awareness about the importance of water safety.

SeaWorld Rescue Team Member Adopts Hurricane Sandy Dog

On Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, the SeaWorld Rescue Team, along with the concerted efforts of Helen Woodward Animal Center, Southwest Airlines and BP Fuel, assisted more than 40 orphaned dogs and cats flown in across the country from the East Coast that were affected when Hurricane Sandy hit and left their facilities uninhabitable. Jessica DeCoursey was among the rescue team members who safely chaperoned the pets, including seven-year-old pug/Pekinese blend Lassie, to Helen Woodward Animal Center.
