Happy Milestone for "SeaWorld's Happy Tails"

Earlier this year we launched “SeaWorld’s Happy Tails” to encourage adoptions of homeless dogs and cats from local animal shelters. The program thanks pet lovers in our hometown markets with two free single-day admissions to SeaWorld when they adopt a dog or cat from participating shelters.

How Far Do Guests Travel to Visit SeaWorld San Diego?

SeaWorld San Diego is known as one of Southern California’s top tourist destinations, and I have always been curious as to just how far our guests travel to visit us. With that in mind, I spoke with a few recent guests and discovered that not only do we attract visitors from across the country, but also from across the world! Suffice to say, SeaWorld certainly has an international flavor! But how do the trainers create connections with these animals and how do they train 9,000-pound killer whales?! These questions and more are answered with our daytime show: The Shamu Story. The Shamu Story takes our guests behind the scenes of animal training and care of these incredible animals.
