The park’s annual community outreach event also benefits wildlife

SeaWorld San Diego’s annual electronic recycling event was a huge success. This popular community outreach event collected nearly 30,000 pounds of used electronics helping divert tons of potentially hazardous material from landfills.

No, I'm not talking about the birds that use it as nesting material, although that is one of its uses. I'm talking about all the coastal wildlife potentially harmed by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. What in the world does wolf fur have to do with the oil spill? Well, I'll tell you.

On July 8, SeaWorld Orlando released five Kemp's Ridley sea turtles - displaced by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico - into Gullivan Key near Marco Island, Fla. This particular body of water is popular habit for these endangered reptiles.
