Almost always after I tell someone that I am an animal trainer they will always ask me, “How did you get a job like?” My answer is I did my homework.

It’s summer time at SeaWorld San Diego! Our Sleepover campers and counselors are heating things up with a little pre-show entertainment at “Shamu Rocks.” Any time we have a Sleepover during the summer, you will always find our counselors entertaining our Sleepover guests with a little something we call “The Counselor Dance.”

We’re excited to announce that Freshwater Oasis is now open at Discovery Cove in Orlando!

At Discovery Cove guests can swim with dolphins, snorkel with fish and rays, hand-feed tropical birds, relax on pristine beaches, and now encounter even more animals: Asian small-clawed otters and marmoset monkeys. Freshwater Oasis, where you can see these new animals, is the newest attraction at Discovery Cove.

Summer Nights at SeaWorld Orlando is a nighttime spectacular that only SeaWorld could create, and the best place to be in Central Florida when the sun sets. Waves of fun wash over the park with incredible shows, an all-new attraction, thrilling coasters under the stars, and a nightly fireworks and fountain finale.

Currently, I help supervise the Animal Ambassador Team (AAT) at SeaWorld Orlando. This is an area of the training department that many of you may not realize exists, but you’ve probably seen in action. You may have interacted with the animals at the SeaGarden, attend a school where we’ve made an educational visit, or seen animals on one of our many appearances on TV.

Before performing live at SeaWorld Orlando’s Viva la Musica this past Saturday, Latin Grammy Award Winner singer Elvis Crespo unexpectedly met two fans from SeaWorld’s sea lion and otter show, Captain Squid and Clyde, a California sea lion.

Everyday SeaWorld hosts thousands of visitors and one of the most common questions asked by our guests is "what is it like to work with animals?" Today, one of our Senior Animal Care Specialists, Kortney, will give you a look into her world with seals and sea lions at the Pacific Point exhibit.
