Manta Comes Alive More Every Day at SeaWorld San Diego

Every day, Manta comes alive more and more at SeaWorld San Diego: Riding testing on this double-launch coaster has begun; 100,000 gallons of water have filled the aquarium that will eventually house dozens of rays and hundreds of fishes; the ray-themed video that will envelope riders as they begin their immersion into the world of rays has been installed in the launch station; and much of the scenic elements are in place, such as the iconic rockwork and Manta sign and some of the landscaping elements.

Star Sighting! Elvis Crespo Meets "Flippered" Fan at SeaWorld Orlando

Before performing live at SeaWorld Orlando’s Viva la Musica this past Saturday, Latin Grammy Award Winner singer Elvis Crespo unexpectedly met two fans from SeaWorld’s sea lion and otter show, Captain Squid and Clyde, a California sea lion.

Paradise Fears (The Band) meets Paradise Fears (the Sea Turtle)!!!

Back in February, we held a Facebook Fan naming contest for a rescued olive ridley sea turtle. In a landslide victory, the turtle was the named “Paradise Fears” for the exciting young rock-pop band from Vermillion, South Dakota. While working in nearby Los Angeles the band dropped by to meet their true namesake sea turtle. They even got to help with the turtle’s check up. The olive ridley turtle is expected to be returned to the wild later this year and we hope the band will be back for the send off!

Spring is in Bloom!

Anytime my mom comes to SeaWorld, she is usually more interested in the flowers and landscaping than anything else. She’s pretty spot-on to notice that we have an amazing landscaping department. Most of the team goes unseen as they arrive early every day and leave just after most of us even take a lunch break.
