Hi there! I'm Kat Marin, and I’m very, very proud to work at and for SeaWorld because of its decades of continued dedication to conservation. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication, with an emphasis in media studies and a minor in English, and have more than six years of print journalism experience. I started at SeaWorld as an Educator with the Education and Conservation Department. Some of the things I’ve gotten to do are work with the Sleepover, Group and Day Camp programs, as well as guide public and private tours throughout the park and exclusive behind-the-scenes areas. I’ve also had the amazing opportunity to work with animal ambassadors at Animal Connections, where I’ve presented a variety of animals to park guests to connect with, including a legless lizard, American alligators and Madagascar hissing cockroaches. In addition, I have been a Connections Leader. I instructed company orientation and assisted new hires and rehires during their on-boarding process. I am now a part of the Public Relations team, a role that I’m very excited to undertake! Fun fact: When guests ask me what my favorite animal in the park is, I never give the same answer, because it changes every week. There’s just so much to learn about each one, and I love finding out about their different adaptations!
